Support Independence Charter School
There are many ways you can help ICS. Consider making a gift or volunteering today.
Give
As you may know, ICS receives less funding per student than other Philadelphia public schools. We rely on fundraising and prudent fiscal management to pay for all of the things that tax dollars do not—the purchasing and renovation of our new school building being just one of them. Please consider making a personal gift to the school. Your donation will support our ability to offer enrichment and after-school programs, increase available technology, ensure our teachers are well-compensated for the work that they do, fund priority enhancements for our new building, and cover the cost of general operations.
Ways to make a gift
Quickly and securely make an online contribution by visiting the ICS page at JustGive.org.
Send a contribution by check, made payable to “Independence Charter School” to:
Independence Charter School
105 South 7th Street
Philadelphia, PA 19106
Call Matt Drexler to make a credit card gift by phone.
Double your gift
Many companies offer to match gifts given to nonprofit organizations. Please check whether your company does. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Use your purchasing power
Indirectly donate to the school by purchasing from these partnering retail stores and organizations:
- Box tops (www.boxtops4education.com) - Online purchasing and collection of clipped box tops from various products
- Land’s End (www.landsend.com/school) - Approved ICS logo wear (Preferred school code: 9001-1654-2)
- CafePress.com (www.cafepress.com)
- Target Visa and Target credit cards - ICS receives 1% of your total purchase when you use the Target Visa Credit Card, the Target Credit Card, or the Target Check Card at Target stores and Target.com, and ½ of Target Visa purchases at other stores. You can enroll online or at your local Target store. The ICS Target school ID is 120394.
