ICS Students Bring Message to Mayor Nutter

Several Independence Charter students joined the thousands of Philadelphia citizens who met the new mayor on his first day in office to shake his hand and perhaps share a message.
Third-graders Indee Phillpotts and Alexander Bakken shared their expectations and priorities. Eighth-graders Camisha Brown and Chelci Rojas used their moment to deliver the hopes and dreams of all ICS students in a book of 680 student notes, specifically created for Mayor Michael Nutter.
