ICS Hosts Japanese Businessmen
December 2, 2008

ICS has a beautiful relationship with its No.1 community partner: The International Visitors Council (IVC). In the past five years, ICS has hosted special international guests from over 35 nations: 14 Latin and South American countries, 15 African countries, Belarus, Poland, France, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, China, and Russia. And now, we can add Japan to the list!

Twenty-two Japanese businessmen visiting the U.S. in a special program through the U.S. government to learn about “giving back” to communities stopped by ICS on Friday, November 21st. Twenty-three fourth graders from Tr. Adrienne Keene’s classroom and several Student Council representatives hosted the guests and worked on a project to make multilingual signs. The fourth graders were perfect hosts and will now have more background knowledge when they study about Japan this spring.
Thank you IVC—our partners in learning—you help to bring the world to our classrooms!
