August 2008 Construction Update
Construction is coming to a close in this final month of our renovation project, and all work is on schedule. This month, construction crews will be putting the finishing touches (paint, paint, and more paint!) on both the renovated portion and our new addition. Beyond this cosmetic work, crews will also be replacing glass and repairing exterior windows, installing and finishing floors, and paving around the perimeter of the addition, among other jobs. Many classrooms and corridors are done or nearly so. Check out the photos—you’ll see how inviting our new classrooms are!
ICS will be moving furniture into the 3rd and 2nd floors on the weekend of August 16. The remainder of the building will move over Labor Day weekend, in preparation for teachers returning and prepping their classrooms the first two weeks of September. Between mid- and late-August, we’ll be looking for volunteers to help clean up the yard. Please stay tuned for this and other volunteer opportunities.
