In order to be included in the lottery process and/or in order to be considered for sibling preference, 2010-2011 applications were due by Friday, November 20, 2009, at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time Any applications received after that point will be added to the end of the waiting list.
To apply for admission to Independence Charter School, parents and guardians must submit an application in person and need to bring copies of: proof of the child’s birth date, a current utility bill or lease or mortgage statement as proof of address, and parent photo identification. FOR KINDERGARTEN APPLICATIONS ONLY, the original documents must also be presented. Parents should carefully review the entire Lottery Information Sheet before submitting the application. Changes cannot be made after the application is submitted. Faxed, mailed, and incomplete applications will not be acccepted.
