ICS is a K-8 charter school serving over 600 students from almost every zip code in Philadelphia. As a public school, ICS is open to all Pennsylvania students, with priority given to Philadelphia residents and siblings of current ICS students.
ICS accepts applications for all grades. Incoming kindergarten students must be five years old by September 1 of the year they start kindergarten.
As part of applying to ICS, you’ll select which program you prefer your child to enter: the Immersion Program or the Spanish Enhanced Program. ICS can’t guarantee a space, but we do make every effort to accommodate your preference. If you have questions about your child’s readiness for the Immersion Program or about supporting your child in this program, take some time to read about immersion programs.
Students are admitted through a lottery system that takes place in October each year. ICS does not charge tuition or any application fee. Please carefully review our lottery process before submitting your admissions package. If you have questions, contact our administrative staff by phone (215.238.8000) or by .
