Independence Charter School

Pamela M. Prell, an ICS founder, has served on the Board in several capacities and is currently the Vice President. Pamela has a B.S. in Elementary Education and taught third and fourth grade before moving to Philadelphia in 1990 where she received an M.A. in Linguistics from Temple University. She has taught Spanish, ESL and writing in a variety of settings to children and adults, and now works as the Professional Development Manager at Need in Deed. She lives with her husband and three children in Mt. Airy. Two of her children are enrolled in the Spanish Immersion program at ICS.
