Independence Charter School

Mary Fitzpatrick is a school librarian teaching in a large public elementary (K-6) school in Bucks County. Prior to this, Mary was a Children’s Librarian for the Free Library of Philadelphia. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College where she studied the Russian language. She earned a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Drexel University. Mary holds a Pennsylvania Instructional II certificate in Library Science (K-12) and is currently completing the coursework for the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program Specialist certificate. She welcomes the opportunity to serve and give back to the ICS community. Mary lives with her family in Northern Liberties. Her son in is the Immersion program. She joined the Board in 2010.
