Independence Charter School

Dana Twyman earned a B.A. in Policy Studies (Syracuse University), a Master of Science in Teaching (Pace University), and a Master of Public Policy (University of Michigan). She has worked in education and nonprofit for the past decade. Dana's experience includes serving as a Teach for America corps member in New York City, training teachers to conduct service-learning projects with Need and Deed, and managing youth and family programs in North and West Philadelphia. She currently serves as the Diplomas Now Program Director for City Year Greater Philadelphia. Her interests include community partnerships and collaboration in education. She is a proud native of Philadelphia, and graduate from the public school system. Dana joined the Board of Trustees in 2010.
