About

Board of Trustees

Under the Pennsylvania Charter School Law, the governance of ICS is the responsibility of its Board of Trustees (BOT). The BOT has authority to make decisions regarding the operation of ICS, including budgeting, curriculum, facilities, and operating procedures, as well as the employment of both professional and nonprofessional employees.

The BOT currently consists of nine members, four of whom are founding members of the school. The remaining members of the Board consist of community and parent seats, all of which serve staggered terms to ensure continuity. Typically, one-third or more of the trustees are parents of ICS students. To learn more about the Board, read about its structure and committees and review the Board’s bylaws and strategic plan.

The BOT meets regularly, and meetings are open to the public. Minutes from all BOT meetings are archived.
